Big TIME RAFTING Regatta!

This exciting, fun and engaging program is designed to tap the creativity and camaraderie of teaming. Choosing roles and responsibilities, coming to consensus with a vision and executing the plan is the key to success…not to mention winning the regatta!

Program Tentative Schedule:

Arrival: 10:00am All Team Members to the beach or Bay area
Introduction of program, large group Fun Ice Breaker, distribution of team instructions and quick team challenge to win the raft components.

10:15-11:30am
Participants receive basic supplies and begin the design / build process. Teams are responsible for design, build and creation of their 30 second Nautical/Viking Chant (team cheer).

11:30am – 12:00pm Team Nautical/Viking Chants and Display of watercraft!

12:00pm Let the Regatta begin!!!

This is the final test of each watercraft! Teammates board their newly christened vessel and race in the regatta!

12:30pm-1:00pm Awards Ceremony, Group Closure and Program Celebration

Program Objectives:

This team program is designed to create a collaborative effort and promote team spirit. Our adventure staff will create a dynamic, exciting and productive program using the Adventure Based Education (ABE) model with emphasis on celebration as a team!

Program Format:

Teams are formed as they arrive or find their supplies. Participants will have basic supplies already in place. These supplies may include: 1 x 6 boards, rope, 16” inner tubes, a blank Flag with fabric markers, and various support wood.

Teammates will collaborate to design and build watercraft that will withstand the team paddling out in the Ocean or bay for the regatta! Design, strategy, build and marketing your watercraft are just a few of the challenges facing each team!!!

Teams will be required to present 30 second intro and Nautical chant explains who they are team and why they will sail to victory!

Decision making / brain storming activities will require innovation and group collaboration.

Participants will utilize limited resources to build a watercraft and sail it to victory in the first annual company regatta. Teams will collaborate on design, features and benefits as they build a craft able to withstand the ultimate racecourse, WATER!

Our adventure staff will:

• Prepare Physical Setting for all outdoor activities, including on-site fixtures, structures and equipment.
• Provide sufficient staff facilitation to meet required educational and safety standards for program
• Furnish all equipment and services necessary or required to deliver the program
• Lead, Guide and facilitate all Exercises and activities

Inclusions: full team supply kits- 1x 6 pre drilled wood boards, 6 – 8 inner tubes with pumps and main compressor, rope and supporting wood, Team flag, team bandanas, emcee for event with coordinated music. Includes all taxes, set up, strike and delivery.

Program pricing is based on a per person basis and must meet minimum program costs. All participants will sign A New Team Adventure release form.
Permits for beaches and transportation are not included with program pricing and will be handled separately. Speak with A New Team consultant to find the best beach or bay for your program.

All billing will be handled Directly with A New Team.
